tribute to 2006
2007 in 34 minutes and counting down! : D
and on a side note, happy birthday koh((: haha
As a tribute to 2006, i'm going to recount all the important events that have happened this year. If i remember the exact date i will put it, but if not just the month.
okay, starting from
January
1. who can forget ORIENTATION? it was one of the most memorable days of 06, and i still remember the first day of school where everybody was crowding around some glass walls in the foyer to see class allocations xD and the confusion, haha. [and i still rmbr the movie they screened, it was 'the Parent Trap']
February
1. The first thing that comes to mind is strings orientation! haha i remember i sprained my ankle for the second time in a month that time, and still had to run around school for the games! ouch x) .
2. First strings rehearsal - it was my very first time playing in a strings ensem, and while sitting dazedly in my seat i was really overwhelmed by the sonority of the ensem! it was like 'wow' : D
May
2nd of May - the day of my DipAB exam :S and it coincided with the practical test of MEP. haha how scary, but i did fairly well for both la. [on that day after exam when i was changing to school u i realised that i forgot to bring socks xD ended up having to buy them hehe]
25th of May! it was MEP concert! i was playing in the quartet and also accompanying for wenyi, quite scary actually x) many thank-yous to the quartet! it was very nice playing with you all((: and the whole thing was a great experience.
June
First and foremost, World Cup '06! many late nights and even went to my uncle's house to watch semifinal between Argentina and another team! [forgot heh]. but taking centerstage is that after staying up to watch the Final, i overslept and was late for school x) i still remember the first lesson was chemisty and miss ang was a little late too, PHEW xDD
9th to 10th June- strings camp! the first day was seriously hardcore prac. like morning, icebreakers, prac, lunch, prac, dinner, prac, sleep! whoa. i liked the fact that it was stayover(: watched the censored 'red violin' and batchmates and sectwo seniors stayed up late and played sillly games!
25th June - Huanghe concert! praccing with malisa was really nice and enjoyable, and chatting with fellow performers backstage too! lots of fond memories(: spurred my liking for all 25ths of the month
July
NATIONAL DAY SKIT!! i don't know how to put it but this is just SPECIAL((: even tho we were only given a weekend's notice we slogged it out, and reaped monumental rewards :D
August
25th of August again : D we performed at Raffles country club if im not wrong, for the PRGS tournament. i liked the pracs between the 15 of us [estimated]. we got really really high on the return trip on the bus back! it was PITCH DARK and we were just singing really crazily all those silly songs like lao shu ai da mi : D the portion of strings got a lot closer to each other =)
September
Eh, i would say Teachers' Day! went back to Rulang to meet old school/classmates and teachers!<3 reminiscing the old times haha! and ate all the nice and yet affordable canteen food(:
October
the month of torture. EOYs x( the period of working super duper hard, late nights and all. haha no further mention(:
November
NAFA violin dept concert! haha every concert we the performers get crazy! even when im not really familiar with violin dept pple (:wasn't very stressful, and yet has the concert atmosphere, thumbs up!
Netball carn, drama night!
it was really great great bonding for 102!<3 we really gave it our best shot and even tho we didn't win netball carn or get into the top 5 of drama night, no regrets definitely! it was after exams and everybody really put in their best(:
and finally..
December
CCAO: finally the realization that we aren't sec ones anymore x) bittersweet lah! but strings pulled it off again!
and and last letter of the year!
haha this is terribly incomplete but thats all i can think of right now! shall add on later.
new year resolutions tmr i think!((:
